CHAPLAIN TO TWIN LAKES & BROOKWOOD
The Chaplain serves as liaison for Holy Comforter with our parishioners living in The Village at Brookwood and Twin Lakes. They provide individual and/or group support in grief counseling, transition, change, crisis, hospitalizations, and other life changing events. They also help the priest at Holy Comforter at Holy Eucharist for both communities.
PASTORAL CARE MINISTRIES
Volunteers who have been trained to assist the clergy in bringing care, comfort, and support to our members who are sick and shut-in, struggling with bereavement, loneliness, and/or other life challenges.
EUCHARISTIC VISITORS (EVs)
EVs are licensed laypersons authorized to take the Consecrated Elements in a timely manner following a Celebration of Holy Eucharist to members of the congregation who, by reason of illness or infirmity, were unable to be present at the Celebration. A license is issued for a period of time not to exceed three years.
THE BEREAVEMENT TEAM
Begins their work when a loved one dies. They provide either a small reception after a funeral or an evening meal for the family.
